Re: why different coloured plugs on 206cc wing mirror?
Agreed. Match the colours of the plugs, and the rest should "Frankenstein" (as you amusingly put it - I might nick that one!) nicely.

Re: nimrod tyre sizes ??
They'll fit, but they'll look 'orrible and will muck up your speedo readings (and probably your handling too).
Being a larger outside diameter they could even rub on places that they shouldn't normally come near.
Personally, I wouldn't.

Ask yourself one question (in the words and tone of Dirty Harry): "do ya feel lucky - well do ya, punk?!?"
If you feel like risking firing a screwdriver through your head for the sake of resetting your clock and radio stations, then you're a braver man than I!

Re: 206cc roof problem!!!!!
I don't think clamping the switch closed will work, because the ECU needs to "see" that each switch is in the appropriate condition at the various different stages of the open/close cycle. If something's not doing what it should when it expects it, then it gets confused and errors-out.

Re: 206cc roof problem!!!!!
Where are you Tony? Can you put your location in your profile? It may well require a "hands on" approach so it would be good to see if anyone is local who can help.

Re: Windows won't go down when opening the roof
Sounds like you've properly confused it. Everything has to happen in a certain sequence or it gets in a tizz. Assuming from your profile name that you're in London (you really ought to add your location to your profile) you would be too far away for me to be able to directly help. Therefore I can on...

Re: Can't close my roof
Hang on - you say you switched the ignition ON?
The ignition should be on all the time when operating the roof, or you're killing your battery.
You've probably confused it a bit but it's do-able. Can you put your location in your profile please?
There may be someone close enough to help.

In the absence of anyone else sticking their paw in the air, I have it but am in Nottingham. Not exactly convenient but if you happen to be up here I can do a diagnostic.

Re: Does radio need code if I disconnect the battery?
Same answer as my post above - the VIN stored in the new CD/radio will be from the vehicle that it came out of. So it will need programming by someone using PP2000.

Re: Breaking 05 plate blue 206 CC 1.6 Allure
With the usual glut of "first time use this year prompting discovery of roof problems", it's worth mentioning this here before I (and others) potentially waste time and money on eBay: I still have a nearly complete roof assembly available in KMF blue. It has all of the microswitches, wirin...
