Mine is like you describe, Manda. Bit dark red on the outside and rather old looking.

Re: Number Plate Lights
The LED lights are complete electronic circuits. These PCBs suffer from large temperature diffrences. In the headlights, mine survived for 3 months. My plate lights are still perfectly fine, now more then 6 months. I think the heat of the headlights is fatal for the LED circuits... Resoldering the L...

Re: Number Plate Lights
I replaced my plate lights for LEDs.
This was a 5 min job :O.
(Used a screwdriver to pop the lenses out)
Did they got stuck or sticky maybe?

Re: Icey weather/ CC handling/Worrying/Tyres
I think any car would more or less do the same.
Depending on weight and size of course..
A lot depends on the tyres...
Winter tyres may solve the problem, but they don't come cheap

Re: Is this Forum in Decline?
For me, this forum is awesome.
Just looking arround.
But I don't post that much,
With so many specialists arround, I feel like a rookie, giving plausible advice...
It's my first car after all

Re: Leak caused by heavy rain
I use Bardahl universal grease.
Advertising that it should work for anything (especially doors etc.)
Based on lithium, not silicone though...
Should I try silicone instead?
Thanks for the quick reply!

Leak caused by heavy rain
Hello, Yesterday and also today a lot of rain has been falling down. I noticed some drops inside on the backseat, right under the joint of the 2 roof pieces. (not the hooks) It has happened before, but I greased the roof and until now that worked fine. Any other tips? Since just greasing doesn't see...

Re: Improve MPG??
I did some more research and I found some flabbergasting devices :o Magnets for your fuel line to swirl your (non magnetic) fuel. But also special fans for the air intake. The fans would make the air go like a tornado and therefor the fuel/air mix would be better. In reality you w...

Improve MPG??
Few days ago I saw a capacitor for sale. Not the chunky ones used for high-end amplifiers but a smaller one to plug in your cigarette lighter. The description was quite simple: By using this capacitor, your fuel efficiency increases. :popping: More technological story: The capacitor reduces the spik...
