Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
So far so good it hasn't got anywhere near 90 degrees.
I'm not getting any cat or pollution faults either, that must be just a coincidence?

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
Hello, just an update. The overheating problem continued after flushing the radiator and would rocket from 90 degrees to the red. The red STOP sign would come on but then reduce to 70 degrees after three seconds before doing it again about ten minutes later. I asked an electrician who said it sounde...

I wave every time and so far the other drivers just look confused.
I live down the sunny end of the country so I see about ten a day. (There are three of us in the same road)

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
I only put premium fuel in now and with longer runs this has helped. I'm still having the problem with overheating but tracking down the problem. It looks like the chap I bought the car off has hidden a small accident on the drivers side which explains the missing wing liner I just replaced. I'm thi...

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
Thanks for the advice, I haven't checked the battery height yet. Replacing the silencer has been a miracle stopping all warnings. We're back in love with car after all the teething problems.

I never thought of that. When I have the brakes and discs replaced I'll tell them to replace the battery too. I want to keep a happy wife and car

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
As an update, we have had the silencer fall off and was forced to drive from Buckinghamshire to Hampshire as it was a Sunday. We had the new silencer fitted Monday morning and since then we have had zero warnings zero beeping and a very happy car.
Could that have been the source of all our problems?

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
ABS was a first time but is still on. Taking her to a mechanic on Monday, believe it or not if it wasn't for the beeping day in day out she drives beautifully?

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?
I've taken a blast down the motorway and the next day no sensors beeping. We thought it was a miracle! took about 15 minutes for the ABS warning to come on? We're seriously thinking of ebaying it after this.
