My experience of Viking Basingstoke is not one thats very good im afraid....

We had a problem with my G/F's exhaust which had seperated from the back box (seems to be a very common place and problem)

Spoke to 'Stef' the 'Senior Service Advisor' at that branch..... When i questioned why we had to pay £1000 for a whole new exhaust system - she was extremely rude and offensive with zero customer service skills.

Comments such as 'well you should have looked into the cost of parts before you bought the car' and ' well its not our fault ' are ridiculous.

I wouldnt recommend them on my worst enemy - search for another dealership!

How dare you buy a car without checking the cost of each of the thousands of components that may go wrong with it!

Unhelpful arses they are!

Hehe - exactly what i thought!

I did kind of point out that every single other make of car I have owned or have know people to own - have the more conventional 3 / 4 piece exhaust system - and that its not exactly unreasonable to have 'assumed' that peugeot's were the same.

Of course - she reiterrated the fact that that wasnt their fault - and it was all mine mine mine.

Btw all - she let slip that the new 307cc has a similar 1 piece exhaust system - so be warned! clearly Peugeot havent learned - or rather maybe they have - they've learnt how to rip the customer off!

That is as you say very poor CS.

I was lucky enough to get mine done under warranty as it was 2 weeks off 2 years old. Any older and I think I would have had tha bill as well.

Lack of CS at a number of Peugeot dealers is what stopped me buying another Peugeot. Their loss as I had bought 7 new pugs between Aug 94 and March 02.
