Great reluctance on part of local dealerships to do any work under warranty as import vehicle. Demanded to see import documents although car purchased from local car dealership - not Peugeot dealer!!
Driver's window not closing properly - eventually mechanic found who knew how to adjust door so that correct alignment ensured proper closure
Squeaking from rear. Dealer said brake calipers needed replacing. Replaced under warranty after argument over import vehicle. Problem not fixed - taking back again tomorrow 13/05/04 for road test and hopefully fix.

When temperature was below 6 degrees Celsius, and it was damp, when driving off (after being parked a night), and turning the wheel to the max, a loud CRACK was heard. We went to the sub-dealer, he never heard of it. We then checked an official dealer. He found the issue in the Peugeot Database. A new steering-power unit was placed. Issue solved. No guarantee…. (2001 only has 1 year warranty)

Cord to manually close roof broke. Fixed.

No other issue!

When the roof had a new seal fitted they failed to re-align the windows and doors correctly. The door wouldn't shut unless you slammed it. Took it back twice. First time they adjusted the doors. Second time the windows were re-aligned properly. So far it appears to be OK but it hasn't really rained enough to test it.

Roof opening failure was my own fault, I drilled through the hydraulics when fitting my boot spoiler - DOH! dealer repaired for me but cost £500+, have a problem now with no audible tone when roof finishes opening - will tell dealer at next service. Clutch did squeek, repaired myself with silicone spray on pedal mechanism. Brakes are currently squeeking, I presume its the dust from the pads, as fast as I clean my alloys 24hrs later their black with brake dust again- excessive brake dust! Carpet is coming away from door seal, drivers side - will tell dealer at next service. Parking aid has stopped working - will tell dealer at next service. Oil level indicator shows as low when its not, I've found if you top up the oil just above the dip sticks "max" mark the level indicator then displays as full! - no problems from slightly over filling oil.

All in all just a few niggles, the only major problem I've had was my own fault
