RAIN WATER LEAK

Post by bazwoldo »

Hi
Just joined and need some help with rainwater collecting in passenger footwell in my 2001 206.
I have removed the glove locker to get a view of possible entry points and no obvious wet areas other than it would appear that the leak 'starts' from the center of the bulkhead and percolates under the bulkhead sound deadening.
Any ideas gratefully received.
Thanks in advance. Barry

Is it definitely rain water, not coolant from the heater?

Btw, this thread is not about meetings :D

Thanks for reply. Yes pure rain water - car has been standing unused for a while. Re the 'meetings' comment -have I made a mistake with the post?

It is probably a leaky windscreen seal. I had a similar thing in a Mazda, and the windscreen fitter just peeled the inner trim back and applied some goo from a tube. I was doubtful, but it never leaked again.

Yes, you posted under "206cc Meetings" instead of "Problems/Leaks"

Many thanks I have sealed the screen with tape so will check after rain or a hose.
