Rear window motor damage

Post by daveing »

We've pulled out the rear passenger side regulator on my daughter's new to us 2002 206CC. The wire rope is a jumbled mess and most broken parts are included in the repair kits available on ebay.

However, the motor pulley retainer, that keeps the winder pulley in place, is shredded. These are not included in the repair kits. Options include:
  • grabbing a full regulator from a UK wrecker (none availbale in Australia)
  • having someone 3D scan the part and having it 3D printed
  • buying a new regulator (rare and expensive)
Who is the biggest reliable 206CC wrecker in the UK?
Has anyone already scanned the part and have a 3D print file?

Pics included.

Also, what grease should we be reassembling these with? It looks like regular grease but is probably just dirty.

Thanks
Daveing

Is the part not included in this kit?

I would use MS4 silicone grease, as water tends to get in there.

No Ian it isn't.

There's a retaining cover with cable guide that keeps the wire rope pulley (in the kit) in place. It's in pieces.

Thanks for the tip regarding grease.

I took out the driver's side rear regulator to see what a good one looked like.
Can you spot the difference? (apart from being opposite hand)

So I need just the pulley cover part of the motor. Anyone know where I can get one? Or do I need to purchase a full motor or the full regulator with motor assembly?
