Torsion Bar Bolts...

Post by Hooflord »

Hi,

I'm most of the way stripping the rear trailing arms to replace the bearings, but the T40 bolts which go into the Torsion Bar are pretty much stripped. All being well I'll get them out (one came out, the other is going to need an extractor), but I'm struggling to find any replacements.

Does anyone know the actual size etc, or where I might get some from?

I've found the part number (I think!) which is 0000515320. I've also been to the scrapyard today to check out the Citroen Xsara's, but they were all in worse condition than the one I've already removed. Obviously anything 206 there has already had the axle's stripped by the refurber's...

Thanks in advance!

The description in Service Box is CAPSCREW DIAM 8X125-14

How about these:[urlhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M8-1-25-Metric-10-9- ... SwgeJe-znb[/url] ?

You’re a star! Got some ordered, so will let you know if they fit. Worth a punt at a fiver!

Well... I guess all is not well.

Driver side, I'll be damned if I can get the Thrust Washer to move.

Passenger side, The Bolt Extractor snapped in the bolt...

Does anyone have any ideas/anything else I can try? I guess otherwise I'll be ringing a garage and re-assembling it to get there...
