MP53REU Red 206CC with SP. 2.0l

Post by Afrosarah »

Bought it from a dodgy dealer :(
The faults that appeared within 3 days:

Hole in exhaust
Engine misfire
Leaking roof
Corroded alloys causing slow leak on tyres
Air bag fault message
Cracked ABS rings (both)
Scored break discs

Said it wasn't covered under warranty.. In the end the finance company paid me back my deposits and picked the vehicle up and sent it to auction in the Leeds area..

Welcome to the forum, and sorry to hear of your woes. Thanks for the "heads up".
Good result though, and at least you can look for another one.
Worthwhile getting someone who understands cars to look it over with you. That way you have an extra pair of eyes that are not looking through rose tinted glasses. May even pay you to have an RAC inspection.

Good luck.
Cheers Col.

Thank goodness you bought it on finance. Now you've had your fingers burned you'll be a lot more wary in future won't you. We live and learn......hopefully.
