206cc project.

Post by cabrioman »

Recently bought a 2004 206cc TipTronic. Aegean Blue i think.
1st thing was to give a good clean as it had started to go green with cobwebs.

Service now done, still got an audible ticking noise which needs investigating.
Knocking noise has been found, its a broken spring that needs replacing ASAP.
Com2000 unit is hard due to the different types but I'm looking a 206's being broken.
Progress is slow as I'm repairing a 306 cabriolet for a customer and it needs finishing before I concentrate fully on the 206.

Thanks for confirming the colour for me :)

I have now ordered a spring kit so will wait them to arrive and then replace the spring.
Next will be the seat belt and com's unit.
I intend to inspect the area of the car that was damaged from the cat D and check the repair work.
I have already noticed the bonnet catch is bent making the bonnet sit wrong.

As any car enthusiast would agree, the best way to condition and protect paintwork is with a clay kit.
I had a few hours spare today ;) so decided i would do just that.
Here's she is all shiny

Had fun yesterday replacing the broken front spring. Took 5 hours in the end.
2 issues were removing the broken spring and when I went I went to refit everything the half shaft fell out! That was a messy job. But all good now :) next job is seatbelt.

Looks fab and yes defo Aegean Blue same as mine. Mine looked so good after a good claying, waxing and polishing, shame the weather wouldnt stay nice so it would stay like it for a day or 2! Wish I could get my roof wiring sorted tho... shame you are not closer... sounds like you are the guy for the job :)
