Just about to buy a 2002 206cc and my mates are saying it's an hairdressers car mmm. .

If you want the car just buy it. My wife is not a hairdresser and neither am I :D People will always have something to say whatever you get.

You might need one after driving it with the top down! :-)

Image-wise? Who's to decide? Performance-wise...the 2.0 certainly isn't slow by any means, great acceleration for the type of car it is, pretty good handling (if you ignore the torque-steer!)and also fairly practical (again for the type of car it is!). If you like one, get one and see which mates ask you for lifts with the top down come summer...great feeling :D
