i get the odd drip on the odd occasion from the rh side but i have noticed that if you open and close the catch it can stop it - strange but true.
only ever had the lh side drip on the 1st CC after the dealer supposedly fixed the rh side - long story so we won't go into that

I too had a leak from the middle of the top of the driver's window where the rubber seals on the folding roof sections are supposed to meet. After rain there was a cascade of water onto my right forearm when I braked.
Folding down the seal slightly and spraying Halfords Rubber & Nylon Lubricant into it has completely cured it.

We picked our car up in September and we must have had the car back at the garage 3/4 times due to a leak on the seals which causes water to drip in through the handles. Each time. the dealer at Worcester says that they have done the job and on one occasion even replaced the whole seal. It is really getting beyond a joke now and wondered whether I had any legal right to "kick off" at Peugeot direct as they have sold me a car which is substandard. The dealer is not interested but I refuse to give up.
Any suggestions?

you could reject it but it would be rejected through your dealer. as they don't seem interested it's time you trained them to think your way.

Yep Lambo, Dereks right ithe contract is with your dealer and the steps are pretty simple:you could reject it but it would be rejected through your dealer. as they don't seem interested it's time you trained them to think your way.
1). Write a letter keeping copy detailing the first time the major water leak fault occurred, dates they attempted to recify it , and how many times they failed. 2). Since your sending a notification of intention to reject the car you should be seen to be fair by giving the dealer one more chance stating that after which time if still faulty, you will officially reject the car.
Send the letter by recorded delivery.
It is important to quote the correct legislation, using the 1979 Sales of Goods Act asking for your money back if the major fault hasn't been rectified.
Obviously apart from a refund if you've used the car for some while or have a lot of milage you may have to come to some sort of arrangement over how much to compensate them for the use of the vehicle.
Robbie.
Thanks Robbie - here's another curved ball for you. I bought the car from a company called Lapworth ( Midlands based ) who import it in from a French dealer. I have found that my local dealer have not really sorted out the problem and would not know from the log book that it has not been purchased from a main dealer but they do have a lazy attitude. Would the sale of goods act still apply ? At the end of the day we love the car and just want the leak fixing but it we can and have to reject the car so be it !
