Hello all.
Just a quick question; ?I have fitted a groovy boot rack to my cc,but i have not opened the roof yet with it on.
Is it safe to use/open/close the automatic roof with a boot rack fitted on the back?
I'm not sure if the extra weight will damage the auto roof mechanism/motors.
Thanks for your advice,:love-thx:
Clive.
P.s; Any 206 cc meet-ups/car events around Sussex this year (2009) ?

If it is the genuine Peugeot rack, fitted correctly, then as long as it is unloaded (empty) then I'm sure you're ok to operate the roof. If you've anything at all on the rack then don't.
Did it not tell you this in the instructions that came with the boot rack?

Phew, was wondering that myself, thanks Ron!
fitted a genuine rack last week but I got it second hand on eBay so I never got any instructions.
Stands to reason that you could raise the boot lid unloaded but not loaded I suppose.
By the way Clive, in case it doesn't say on yours, the maximum wieght limit of the rack is 20KG.
