Rear parking sensors

Post by den310 »

So my fiance's car has rear parking sensors and a button in the dash but nothing works. I don't think the reverse light works either so can I assume this is probably the problem, the reverse light switch?
Any other issues with the sensors I should know about and what does the switch actually do?
Thanks in advance.

Never heard of parking sensors in a 206CC. I think they must be aftermarket. If the button is associated with the parking sensors, it is probably to stop the beeping. The reverse light switch is a likely cause. It is mounted on the "rear" of the gearbox, i.e. the right side if you stand in front of the open bonnet, looking towards the rear, and has a green connector.

Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes they were an option on this model apparently. I tested the reverse light switch and I get nothing on my multimeter so have ordered one and hopefully that will sort it.

Cheers,
