How to manually close roof

Post by Johnnyb60 »

Hi,
I know this place is very quiet with posts and i don't really expect to get any answers, but its regarding the manual procedure of closing the roof.
Mine works perfectly thankfully, but I want to know everything about how to close it in the event it fails.
I've read up everything to which I now fully understand, but it says that I should pull the cord on the left to release the rear parcel shelf.
For some reason though my 2004 Peugeot doesn't have the cord to pull.
Was it deleted on the the newer models. If so what I do to release the rear parcel shelf.
Kind Regards,

Yes, it was deleted on later models. You are supposed to be able to release it by pushing with the right-angle tool in the emergency box into the hole that the cord would have emerged from. I never managed it when I tried, but others say its possible with a screwdriver. The instructions are in the handbook. https://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/pages/index.jsp and click Handbook Pack (login not required for Handbook access).

Many thanks Ian.
I will have a good look at this when I get home from work.
I just want to be fully prepared in the event that it were to let me down.
All the very best👍👍
