Hi,
Hard to explain just through the title so here goes!!!
Today I was down at the scrap yard again to squirrel a few more hard to come by parts for my little Peugeot.
Whilst there I thought I would try the process of opening and closing the roof manually on a scrap 206 cc just to familiarize it, just in case I ever get any problems with mine in the future.
I got it open easy enough after depressurizing the hydraulics ,but when I went to close It I came across a small problem. The roof went up and locked very easily but when I came to close the boot i struggled a bit.. It clicked shut into the pronged locators ,I turned the grey u shaped clips back ,but the boot wouldn't quite lock down.I could push the boot down where it meets the rear window down by half an inch ,as if it wasn't full locked down.
Any ideas what I could be doing wrong.
All the very best

Have you got the owner's handbook that comes with the car? There is quite a detailed explanation in there.

Many thanks for replying.
I've just studied the manual in PDF form so the images are a bit grainy when I zoom into them.
However despite that I think I can see what I was doing wrong.
From what I can see ,there's a clip of some sort just to the side of the U clips that I didn't address.I will have a good look tomorrow again on mine to identify them.
Many thanks,
