I had my car stored for a few months, then I moved it around the garage a bit (just changing spots so never really went over 5 kph), after a couple of days I started it and the roof wouldn't work...
I started the car, opened the roof latches and GOT THE GONG, then when activating the roof switch, instead of it working I got the BEEP BEEPs... Everything seemed normal, the windows would work if I operated the window switches, I was about to gut the car (not really, just perform the manual opening and closing of the roof) when I read a post that mentioned that if the car hasn't gone over 5 kph (or mph, can't remember exactly) for a while, it sort of LOCKS the roof just in case the speed sensors (on the wheels?) are faulty... UNTIL you drive it again over the 5 mph... SOUNDED WEIRD, but I took it for a short drive around the block and everything was back to normal!
SO... BEFORE YOU TRY SOMETHING DRASTIC LIKE THE EMERGENCY MANUAL OPENING, JUST DRIVE YOUR CAR A LITTLE AROUND THE BLOCK AT A GOOD SPEED AND TRY AGAIN...
