hi all,
im suffering with a strange problem at the mo.
since ive had the car the automatic lights come on and off whenever they want.
i thought there might be a sensor problem???
but ive noticed lately that it might be something to do with the indicator stalk.
because if i turn the lights onto side lights, the automatic lights get over ridden and everything works fine, inc the indicator sound whilst indicating.and the indicator symbol flashing.
but if no lights are on and the automatic lights are left to do ther own thing.
you indicate and dont get no symbol flashing,or indicator noise.
but switch the side lights on and the noise of the indicator comes back,as does the indictor symbol flashing.
(hope your all still with me) lol
does this make sense to anyone???or anyone know what i could do/check??
cheers in advance
pat.

Hi, Have you tried turning off the automatic light function? See what happens?
I keep the auto function off all the time simply because they tend to light up sometimes in fairly light conditions. To turn them off turn the ignition key to the first position and hold the end of the lights stalk for more than two seconds, you should hear a beep. No harm in trying!
Cheers.

Yes Pat, he does. Bit more than just a stalk these days though, but yes, in essence that's what reap is talking about.

Cost of a new one will be something over £200 I believe. Probably nearer £250 all fitted.
