Hi everyone!

my GF's 206cc had a few niggly problems when we got it, 2.0 '51 SE, that i sorted but i have a roblem hope you guys can help.

basically the exhaust is leaking out of the clamp between the manifold and the rest of the system. it leaks out from where the bolt is. how can i fix this?

is there a gasket in there that needs replacing or something? have searched on internet nor managing to find any spare exhaust parts at all...

thanks

Hi, I have just took off and replaced the manifold on one of these cars, No gasket is present, only two pieces of metal that butt up against each other, and are held in place by the "C" clip you can see, it may be this has come loose or is in need of replacing, either way, you will need to jack up the exhaust system to take the weight of the exhaust, and remove the clip and clean the two mating surfaces and use a new "C" clip. DO NOT use any paste on this area at all as you may drop some inside the exhaust pipe and may go down to the catalytic converter and "knacker" this expensive unit.
Hope this helps.

sorted it now, the clamp wasnt located very well, the rear part of the exhaust wasnt pushed up into the manifold.

the clamp looks a bit tired, does anyone know how much these are?
