Hi everyone,

I also posted this in the Roof section but I think it's good piece of knowledge to have up your sleeve as some cars (such as mine) that were fitted with standard 206 hatchback window motors had front window problems (the hatchback has a much smaller window, as you may have noticed :P)

First, turn the ignition off.
Next, press both window buttons down all the way.
While still pressing the window buttons down, turn the ignition back on to the first stop and keep holding the buttons down until it beeps. Keep the buttons held down until the beeping has stopped.
You now have 6 seconds to press the roof button and voila, the roof will come back up with the windows still up!

I hope that's a clear explanation but if it's not, and it wouldn't surprise nor offend me if it isn't, here's a video showing it being carried out with a step-by-step narration. Jump to 3:27 on the red bar :) (it starts at 3 mins 27 seconds in, the first part is manual operation of the roof).

I know this is the third post about this link but I just think it's so useful - just trying to spread the knowledge :) But mods, if you think this belongs in the Roof section, feel free to remove this post.

Hope you never have to use it and have a nice day!

Do you really? I can open the boot without the key... provided the boot is unlocked already, just press the button and lift...

I shall give it another go, but even when car is unlocked, I have to put the key in and turn it (hear electric unlock noise) push in and open.... I'll report back but tried it several times before with no key when unlocked.... :rotfl:

Yes, please do report back, will be interesting to see if there's any difference, I wouldn't have guessed there is but hey, learn something new every day :)

It's true that the boot must be unlocked with the key if you have locked the doors, yes (SOOOO annoying how it doesn't unlock with the doors!!!). Mine makes the same electric noise. But once the boot has been unlocked, it stays unlocked until you lock the doors again, or lock the boot itself with the key. And that's a good thing too - I've shut my keys in the boot multiple times LOL

Ah now this I havent tried, I was talking about opening the boot once after the doors have been unlocked, havent yet needed to use the boot a second time after opening it once, thats good to know and shall give it a whirl now :drunk:

Oh yes so it does, open by pressing the button after opening the boot - I put my supermarket shopping on the front seat the other day just because I couldnt be bothered fannying around with unlocking the boot with key - now I have learnt something new, unlock with key to load shopping, simply press with thumb to open when home to unload (as long as you havent locked boot since) Thanks

Sorry to hijack your thread with my boot opeing concerns.... :drunk: :D
