there are a couple of questions I have....
My gear knob spins and sqeaks...its not loose just goes round and round and round and....
My handbrake feels it only works on one side if that makes sense? I wouldnt trust it in a big hill start!!
also it is really high, i think the cable might be loose?
the engine makes a bit of a noise but stops when the clutch is down
The button for the roof fell off! i think all this up down up down to show everybody hasnt done it good! can i get one anywhere else? it still works i just have to press it down but it really hurts my finger :sorry

Hi Tash
Welcome to the PUG club, i think your car is similar to mine, registration date 1/1/2003 but only 27,000 miles. You will find problems at first with the car, but mine went to the garage 5 or 6 times after i brought it in January, but now, touch wood, it's going really well. I have red and black seats, i notice yours are blue
I love going topless - and Ollie laughs everytime i say that
Even if i have a 5 minute drive i get it off !!
Happy driving - have you tried e-bay for the roof button - how annoying !

Hey tasha86 - love your interior - same as mine!
I highly recommend a set of chrome rollover bars - they look GREAT I can't believe I didn't think of them sooner!
As for the roof button, there was a post a while back about getting it replaced... don't replace through Peugeot because they will want to sell you the WHOLE button - electrics and surround and all, not just the plastic flap and it costs HEAPS... find a wreckers (if there are any with cc's in them :S), thats your best option

oh and the sub... I've seen it done but they were properly mounted and all so they would juuuusssst squeeze in... but to not have them mounted ie just have them sitting in the boot, it depends but im sure theres one out there that would be low enough.
Alternatively, you could always do this...

or just turn the bass up on the stereo control - press the button with the musical note on it - the one on the right-hand side, closest to you and the first screen is bass - press the up arrow to adjust, it goes up as far as +9

You could try siliconing the gear knob if you aren't likely to change it anytime soon.tasha86 wrote:there are a couple of questions I have....

Is ths engine noise all the time, that is, not just from cold, i.e. due to the choke?
Sounds like your handbrake may just need some adjustment. If you don't feel safe get it checked out, otherwise you could mention it at your MOT.
