In the bottom right hand corner of the post you want to quote, there is a "Quote" link - simply click on it and start typing your reply! Alternatively, copy the message, or part of the message, click "Post Reply", paste, highlight and click on the Quote button up top above smileys but this won't insert the member's name, you will have to manually do that. You generally use this if you are quoting another webpage, or a book.
I fixed the quote by Beach Babe in this post that you tried quoting - instead of [ h] and [ /h] (that highlights the text), it should be [ quote] and [ /quote] but without spaces. To insert the member's name followed by wrote:, put =(member's name) immediately after the word 'quote' in [ quote] (remember, no space). This way, you can also combine two or more member's quotes into one, like this:
