Re: engine problem??
It would help if you gave us some history about the car, e.g mileage, service history, by whom, any significant repairs, what fuel you use, where you buy it, etc.
Better than a stab in the dark.

Re: engine problem??
I would suspect that the clutch is at the end of its life Scott. You describe clutch slip on acceleration. A new clutch is the the cure for that.
I'm guessing that this may be sending conflicting signals to your car's ecu e.g. the engine speed does not correspond to the correct road speed. If the resultant fueling is incorrect there could lead be over-fueling leading to unburnt hydrocarbons being present in the exhaust which are being picked up by the lambda sensor and creating the anti-pollution fault signal on your dash.
Hopefully, if you have a reputable and trustworthy garage that has worked on your car they will not rip you off. However, a new clutch will not be cheap if it is that that is going.
Give the garage as much background information, describing the symptoms to them as best you can. That will help them in making the correct diagnosis.
Let us know how you get on. Good luck.
