Sony Radio Panel has Amnaesia

Hi,

Halfords have just fitted a replacement unit to my 206cc (2006 model), works fine and understood from the start that it would not start and stop on the ignition - no issues, I can simply turn it off or remove the panel. The unit is the MEX-BT4000U.

Issue I do have, is having stored stations, set balances, bass, clock etc, every time I put it back in and switch on, all the information from every memory setting is gone and we're back at start up.

Any ideas?

swap the yellow and red wires over for perm live on the ISO connecter

Better still take it back to Halfords and get them to do the job properly!

The car would probably be scrapped before Halfords option, and even I can manage the wire swap!
