I was driving around today and all the dials stayed pointed at zilch, i.e the speedo, fuel, rev and temp.
Drove to peugeot dealer and they couldn't help as had no mechanics on a sunday, so AA were called. I rectified itself after twenty minutes so the AA said they couldn't help as it wasn't a fuse.
Anyone else had the same problem? AA said it could be very hard to locate the problem.
Thanks Zippy

Yep - I had this problem. It was a result of me going up a very steep hill in the wrong gear and the engine getting flooded.

The car rectified itself too without a problem and when I spoke to my dealer they said there should not be any lasting effects. Just the smell of burning oil until it clears itself. He said that the dials reset themselves for some reason.

The car hasn't had any issues as a result (mind you I haven't tried to go up any steep hills in 4th any more!!).

I had the exact same thing the first week I had the car. I started it up and the dials refused to work. Everything else was working fine. I tried restarting with no luck. So I drove, got my takeaway, and they were back to normal on my return trip!!

Since then, (5 months) it has never happened again, so I wouldn't worry too much, unless it happens all the time!

Yes - I had it very soon after getting my car in March. See "Dead electrics" in the other problems section. Solution was a software upgrade.
