RPM

Post by bluemenace »

I've tried searching the forums, but can't find an answer - does anyone know please what (roughly) your rpm should be at 55mph, 60mph and 70mph?

It's a 2005 cc (Allure), 1.6 petrol engine.

many thanks!

That will depend on what gear you are in and your wheel/tyres sizes. Latter is if you have non-standard tyres, you may the actual speed differs to what the speedo shows ...

At 70mph our 2005 206cc 1.6 Allure is doing 3,250 revs in top gear (manual gearbox). You can work out the figures for other speeds by simple arithmetic. (Equates to 21.54mph per thousand revs in 5th gear).
