Did Peugeot over make a 6 speed gear box in any of their 206CC's over the cars lifetime?
I'm sure I found an ad the other day that mentioned 6 gears but can't find it again now and no other details - so I assume the answer is no.

Quaife did a 6 speed which was an option in some of the 306 GTI's. Whether they were ever put into a 206cc as an option, I don't know. It would be possible to retro fit one though.
I've had a couple, and I hate 6 speeds . Forever changing gear!!

As I'm considering swapping my 2.0 Petrol for a 1.6HDI I was wondering if there would be any 6 speeds around as one of my bug bears is the engine RPM at 70mph (ish) being a bit higher than I'd like. I was thinking a 6 speed my reduce this a tad.

Most 6 speeds aren't double overdrive. i.e. They just have more gears with 6th being the only overdrive gear.
