I've just got back after a weekend away and had a large problem with my clutch, but only for a couple of minutes and I'm stumped as to what went wrong.
I went to change gear, there was a clunking noise and I lost complete use of my clutch pedal. It was literally as if that clutch cable had snapped. I pulled my car over, turned the engine off but after a couple of minutes decided that I would need to move my car from its current location to a landmark and call the RAC. Upon starting the engine again, life came back into the clutch and I was able to change gear again and move away as normal.
This happened in Worcester on Friday night and I have since driven from Worcester down to Bournemouth, using the clutch on a lot of occasions as you can imagine.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what the problem was and is there something that needs checking out?
