Post by Cc rider »

Hi there my names rod.
I got my cc back in July it's a 2.0 se quicksilver with 59000 on the clock I paid £ 1500 with a years mot and tax.
I have just replaced the cam belt and water pump I know it says 80000 change but the car is 2001 model and is over ten years .
The roof works fine but I have a question for you guys do you operate the roof through the winter months I.e as in maintenance sort of way so that things don't get stiff or seized.

Many thanks...

Hi and welcome to the forum.
We have a policy with our car of cycling the roof once a fortnight all year round to keep everything moving.
Cheers Col.

Col, that's a TOP tip, and I reckon you should put it as a sticky in the roof problems section.
Welcome Cc rider - good move on the cambelt. Prevention is better (and a LOT cheaper) than cure! :)
