Magnetic L Plates on car
I read somewhere that these caused a problem on someones 206 cc body work, leaving marks? Can someone verify or have any knowledge of this as learning to drive in my 206 cc! Thanks

It's possible - but not just limited to 206's. You need to have nice clean (preferably freshly polished) bodywork, and need to make sure that the L plates don't have any bits on them either. If bits get trapped they can mark the paint - same as if you were to hold a scouring pad against it.

Re: Magnetic L Plates on car
I haven't used them on a CC but on another car when my son was learning. The rear one was OK but the front one just flew off on the first drive. Also it's very difficult finding a flat forward facing position. Personally I would not bother with magnetic, it seemed a good idea for me at the time but I ended up buying another set straight away.

Never managed to keep an magnetic one on a 206 of any kind .. something tells me the bonnets aren't all steel but an alloy which may explain why ... get over 40 and you watch it bounce off the road (or car behind!)
I ended up getting tie-ons and attaching to grill.

Can someone tell me where to attach the L plates with string onto the 206 cc please?

Re: Magnetic L Plates on car
When I took my three (!) out in our hatchback I tied the front around the upper grill ... the 'bar' in either side of the Lion.
At the back the hatchback is big enough for a magnetic plate but not tried on a CC. Thinking about it what about tying the string to the reinforcing bars underneath the boot, up through the plate holes and then take the string into the boot and tie it off there. If you cover the foglight don't worry ... I wouldn't try learning in the weather just yet.
