Have anyone manage to put a set of golf clubs in the boot with the roof down. Even with a very small carry golf bag...

i don't play golf (tried & failed) but i would expect you could. even with the roof down there is still a bit of room in the boot.

thanks derek,

I'm more concern with the width, my bag should be just ok for the height (I'm pretty sure about this).

My longest club is 45.5", and with the bag is around 50". What do you think?

Trung,

Just take your golf bag and a club or two (in your TX5 )down to the dealer and see if it fits in one of theirs. That will answer your question once and for all. If you're unsure about doing it you could ring them first and make sure it's OK. I'm sure it would be.

Clubs will fit in the boot with the roof down no problem - I sometimes take the woods out of the bag first to make it easier to fit in - I have had a suitcase and bag of clubs in the boot and still managed to get the roof down - only problem is you have to put the roof back up to get anything back out again!!

Matt, true true.
Hopefully TX5 for one more week, (not Nov, DEC   ).
My clubs are always in the car. When I'm at a peugoet dealer, usually I forget about golf clubs and the boot altogether. Just looking at the car take my breath away.

I have had a standard Taylor Made carry bag (with stand) containing a full set of TMs plus shoes and small holdall in the boot with the roof. They fit okay the only thing is you have to raise the roof to get them out - no real hardship

I assume you put your clubs in then lower the roof?

I might invest in a bag with a stand if it can fit in the boot with the roof down.

Yes - put the golf stuff in first and then lower the roof. Then raise the roof to get the gear out. The weather is too dodgy in Manchester anyway so I'd have to put the roof up while playing.....

i can get the golf bag and set of clubs in no problem. roof lowers no problem - but to put the roof down it means jiggling the woods around a bit inventively, mind.

Picked up my car 11 days ago,

and here is my conclusion.

Bigger bag should be no problem, I even manage to put a 9" bag in the car with a pull buggy as well (roof down).

My question is why do you have a Golf bag? I thought that would have gone when you upgraded from a VW to a Pug
