Bad Acceleration after changing the timing belt
After changing the timing belt the cars acceleration became a little bit slower and the rpm doesn't rise normally and at highways the rpm keeps around 2000 revs unless I press the gas pedal hard then the rpm rises above 4000 revs and the fuel consumption is very high.
I changed the timing belt and cleaned the throttle.
I also have a Simota air filter which had a very high sound before changing the timing belt and now doesn't have a high sound.

Sounds as if the timing belt may have been put on a notch out, putting the timing out.
However if you've done two things at the same time it is difficult to know precisely which one has adversely affected the running. I tend to do one thing at a time if possible. That way it is easier to know when I have made a mistake or an unforeseen outcome needs reversing.

The fuel consumption is very high so I think that the throttle cleaner blocked the injectors and I also think that the air filter needs to be changed.
I changed the fuel filter today but the rpm is still at high speeds around the 2000 revs so I think its either the air filter or the injection system needs to be cleaned by an injector cleaner.
I think the problem is in the air intake system.
Can anyone also please tell me if the timing belt have been put on a notch out, putting the timing out, how would the car react to it??????

Wouldn't run properly ... lack of power, etc.
How did you time it? Proper cam pins or simply tried the tippex-method??
And you did replace the tensioner and idlers ... please say yes! If not start again ...
... belts tend not to break ... tensioners fail as they are mechanical.

As gazza asked: how did you time it? Did you use the proper pins to lock everything on top dead centre?
How many miles/kilometres has the car covered? If low mileage you could get away with just the belt. Depends also on the conditions that the car has been kept in.

now after ignition the rpm is around 1500 and it never exceeds 2000 even when the gas pedal is at maximum

Gazza Grandadmonkey and I all think you may has got the timing wrong. If you explain exactly how you changed the belt, specifically how you ensured the timing was correct, we can better understand if this is the cause or not.

I found out that the throttle doesn't open when pressing the gas pedal.

I removed the timing belt and checked it and everything is alright.
The car throttle is the one making the problem.
I tried reprogramming it via PP2000 it works but when turning off the ignition and turning it on again the throttle doesn't open again so I'll replace the throttle as it's the one causing the problem.
It was the reason for the high fuel consumption and the rpm wasn't getting high because there was no air entering the throttle.

I'm now asking if the air throttle cleaner could have done any other damages in the fuel injection system rather than the throttle and if I would like to clean the whole injection system what shall I do???

You still haven't said how you know the timing is right! Did you use the correct pins and timing procedure?
You can continue to swap out bits and spend more and more money but if you don't fix one thing before starting on the next you will never know what is wrong ... Still your money and time ...

I went to a specialized Peugeot mechanic who took off the timing belt and checked everything and used the correct pins as marked on the timing belt and checked the timing.
He told me that everything is alright and the cars timing is good.
I'm sorry but I don't know that much about the timing belt and how it should be adjusted but I went to the mechanic who told me that there's no problem in it and I saw with my eyes the that the marked points in the belt are on the marked pins correctly.

Are you saying you changed the belt and then had it rechecked by a Peugeot specialist?
Your throttle body won't cause poor fuel consumption on it's own. The fuelling is down to other factors.
The throttle butterfly isn't controlled by the pedal directly, it's controlled by the ECU which looks at other variables such as pedal position, load on engine, engine speed etc: ( which is probably why it wasn't operating as you thought it should)
You can reset the throttle body like this-
• switch on the ignition,
• leave the ignition on for at least 10 seconds (do not switch off the ignition
during these 10 seconds and do not press the accelerator pedal),
• switch off the ignition and leave it off for 15 seconds (the ECU records the
motorised throttle programming parameters in the EEPROM - this is the
POWER LATCH phase),
Warning: Do not switch the ignition on during these 15 seconds.
