Central lockin noise

Post by trudyoba »

Hi,just bought my 206cc 1.6 05 plate..got few issues with it.

1, When driving central locking seems to be clicking then stops after awhile.
is this normal on this car?
2 Drivers door light is on when driving on with the door close.
Have to give it a good slam..is this normal on these cars to?
3 ESP/ASRwarning light on dash and the Monochrome display..

4 Handbrake dont hold..
Starting to think iv'e bought a shed.

Any help in getting these few fix done would be appreciated.

Hi Trudy. Did you buy privately or from a dealer?

3 ESP/ASRwarning light on dash and the Monochrome display.. Possibly the sensor under passenger seat, but you need to get it on diagnostic machine and give us the codes
4 Handbrake dont hold.. Could be seized caliper or, cable adjustment. If the calipers are seized. I have a pair for sale

1&2 are probably related, but it could even be a bit of number3 as well. Sorry to be vague, but the first 3 are sort of *how-long-is-a-piece-of-string* questions. If the car has been stood for a while awaiting sale, you may even have a battery issue. Search the forum for the many instances where a failing battery has thrown up funny issues.
The fault codes might pick up something.. If you bought it from a dealer, get them to sort it out under warranty
