Re: roof boot catch lock cable replacement
Jay
I had a boot lock cable snap on my daughters car last year. I was amazed at the cost of a replacement lock cable so thought I'd have a go myself. I bought a £1.50 cycle brake cable from Halfords which is the same size as the original cable (motorcycle inner cable was too big) and managed to thread into place and soldered an eyelet on the end. Fairly straight forward to fit if your slightly mechanically minded, a little bit of set up and bob's your uncle. Used several times and no problems whatsoever, result.
Cheers, Stew
