Yes im originally canadian living as an expat and im really impressed with how cheap mechanics are here. almost every street has like 3 mechanics I have never seen so many in my life. The one I use has a really dinky looking shop looks like everything is rusted inside and broken down. But he knows my Peugeot he has deasembled and put it back together since day one so i continue to go to him and the labor cost he charges me is next to nothing for example if a part is 50 like the clutch repair and it takes him 3 hours to fix it, he will charge me like 10$ labor, super cheap.

Hi Everyone, so its been a while since any updates....I have been a bit busy but ill get to it and show what I have done.

1. BRAND SPANKING NEW FRONT SUSPENSION - Yep car was creaking like crazy and hitting speed bumps because of dead shocks so i replaced the whole front suspension ordered parts online and took it to my mechanic.

Online parts price, 2 new shocks, 2 new supports, not sure what their called in english "Rotulas" in spanish basically the knee like joint of the car, and some support pieces

Total parts $260
Labor to install $380
Total $640

2. WINDOWS ALL NEW!!! - So if you were following you know the front window had a big crack in it...well i had some vandalism happen to me and someone threw a brick through the front...side and back windows....on separate occasions. Insurance covered me thank god and i got basically all new windows (I have since moved to the nicest gated community in the city).

Front window...estimated no insurance cost $$$$$$$alot, my cost $120
Side window, my cost $80
Back window, my cost $100
Total 3 windows $300

New Switch for Windows- So I have been battling trying to get a new switch for my side windows. I think condensation or a spilled drink :P may have broken the switches ability to lower the driver side window, i can do all functionality with all windows but lower it. So I ordered a piece from a scrappy

My version is 2005 206cc scrappy was 2008 206cc, the switch almost worked EXCEPT some weirdness.

Weirdness
1. Only lowers or raises the window COMPLETELY, no half way or a bit, once you push the switch your all in.
2. all windows lower when you turn on the car and release the brake, or clutch
3. all windows lower when you turn the car off, as soon as key is turned to off all windows lower

This has driven me mad, is it a ghost switch? I also ordered another one from a different 2008 and same problem. I can only find a 2003 scrappy im going to maybe order that one and hope it works. Looks like after 2005 they changed the switch type ever so slightly? Beats me Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

Here is a video of the problem I took

Cost $40 (lost on first switch no return) ($60 on second switch, can return trying to decide what to do)

Total REPAIR Cost $2905

Were getting there!!! The car is almost restored.

I still have a few details,

- the leather inside
- the windows switch
- the boot lift
- horn
- new air compressor install

But we are almost finished restoring this bugger. Its been a long journey, everyone has told me to sell it. But this is what happens when you get someone that loves his car so much he will die before giving in hahaha.

Here's the update of done so far.

1. New rim logos in center-

My old rim logos had started to fall off i purchased a few new ones off mexican ebay may want to paint the whole rim later as well which is pretty cheap.

2. New side light-

My light was broken with a hole in it from someone bumping it. Again mexican ebay struck and got my electrician to change it while he worked on the oxygen sensors.
