thread size of caliper fitting

hi all anyone how what thread size for the caliper fixing for the front that bolts to the hub is need to get a tap to re tap :love-thx:

Can't you measure the bolt? If the thread has stripped, you would be better off helicoiling it

im looking at tool shops and there is 10 x 1.0 10x 1.25 and 10x 1.5 dont want to buy the wrong size

found it its a 12mm with 1.5 thread cheers anyway

Use a micrometer or vernier gauge to measure diameter and a steel rule to measure the pitch. I'd measure the length of 10 threads (which in your case would have equalled 15mm) then divide by 10 (which in your case would have given you your answer of 1.5). When I worked as a quality engineer I used to use a shadowgraph but no-one will have one of those in their garage.
