any decent motor factor should be able to test your battery and alternator for free without removing anything.
I've got the dreaded leaking battery syndrome with severe corrosion building up on top of the gearbox so i'm about to replace it but I did wonder if it could be down to over charging. I've got pp2000 and it doesn't flag up anything about the battery or alternator.

I've not heard of leaking battery issues generally on the 206cc.

If its overcharging it would cook the Battery and boil it dry! I would think it could possibly be a leaky battery if you decide to take it out and clean up have a read up about how to disconnect and reconnect as mine was done wrong by previous owner and totally confused the BSI unit if you want to keep an eye on the charging you can get a device that gives an led readout of your charge and it flashes when overcharging occurs I think it's by gigatronics or something similar I've iced mine up so I can plug it into my cig lighter!
