How to bypass quarter light to allow roof top to open/close?

Post by rch88 »

My window regulator quarter light (the little triangle window) in my 206cc is broken. Hence, it's stopping my roof top from opening since it can't detect if the quarter light window is down.

How can i bypass this so that the roof can open/close?

Have a look in the roof section of the forum and you will find this How to raise the roof manually/electrically with windows up

That's a very useful video.

It does not say that there is a way to bypass the window to open the roof electrically, and I suspect there is no way. You will have to repair the window.

Is the glass itself broken or is the mechanism not working. Fixing a quarter light is not a hard process but it does require some time and you have to take apart most of the rear bench and side panels to do it. I can guide you through the process if you require assistance, as my car quarter lights wouldn't come up when I bought my car and I had to fix both of them.

Watch again from 3:33 but I think that is just to close.
