I think this site is great. It is nice to see the friendships that have obviuosly built up between the frequent posters. Also it is nice to know that people are normal and don't just wanna talk about cars. Everytime I have posted a CC query I have got a reply so I am happy and I like to read all the non CC threads as well.

Well i was toying with th eidea of signing off permanently earlier on - even went as far as writing a topic named "Last Post" and thanking various people etc etc. But i didn't submit it. I get a lot of laughs and ideas from this place. There are some cool people who use it. I am looking forward to meeting some of them in September. I may yet resurrect the topic and wave my farewells. But not just yet. Why should i deprive myself a few giggles whilst at the same time hopefully providing a few for people.
I'm interested to hear Lyndons comments on all this whining. After all, he is the creator, and i for one am quite willing to go along with whatever he suggests. So how about it Lyndon - Get the Moderators earning their status by deleting non-CC related posts? Abolishing the "rank" structure? Providing a Chat-room? Or, as i possibly suspect, could you not give a fig either way cus you're being entertained too?

But I'm hurt, I really am....

Speaking from a personal point of view and also as I am part of this forum (moderator or not) I would hate for you to go anywhere GregS.
As people have pointed out they have the choice what they click on when they visit this site. If they don't want to read the "non CC" posts then they don't have too.
Simple!
I, and I am sure many others wouldn't spend nearly as much time here if it was on the CC and only the CC. I enjoy reading the humourous posts as it brings people together and yes we have made friends from this.

If you want to use this forum for CC purposes only then by all means please do. If you need any further help or advice then we are all here to help. But I don't think its fair to stop the others having fun and creating such a "buzzing" forum.

This is my personal opinion but I say keep up the good work to all those who make this such a light hearted entertaining forum!

I found this from a couple of months ago:
--------------------------------------------
My point is (eventually) that the reason I, and probably others who use this forum, visit it regularly is not because we are "Car-Bores" and only want to read straight forward Q & A's but because we are owners or future owners of a sexy fun car, which makes us "different" from the norm. Surely the fact we own CC's make us all people who enjoy life, have a sense of humour, and don't take things too seriously?

I for one would not visit a site where the forum went along these lines:

Q: I was wondering whether a 345.8mm FuFu valve attached to my Flange Grommet would increase my bhp by 0.0004 percent?
A: No you need the 89.78 Receptacle flash doobry like i have. It costs £1000 from http://www.sadman.com

Just to add my 2 cents here, a few months ago the forum was dead, and we all know it......

i mean how many questions can u ask about the car? How many problems can there be? There is a limit which was reached a few months ago when the forum dried up. But recently its been buzzing on here, loads of posts and its these posts that keep people coming back and with people on here more often, anyone posting a question is likely to get a quicker reply.

Also its a more friendly environment and i now really look forward to the meet to finally meet up with the people who use the forum daily and we all have a laugh together (like the big bother thing)

So i say why take things so serious??? Just chill out, RELAX, have a laugh....life is so serious already.

Ok i;ve rambled on enuff, but thats the way i see it so i thought i'd throw that in there.....

lookin forward to seein ya all at the meet

Erm
MMMMmmmmmm V-TEC u gotta love it :)

Blimey, I seem to have touched a nerve here when I started off this topic! Apologies to anyone I've genuinely upset.

I don't want anyone to leave the forum or to stop posting on (almost) ANY topic (honest Greg really (well except maybe Big Brother)). But I do think that the star system has created a poster's ranking hierarchy (some of are Gods, the rest of us aren't) that is steadily eroding the previously egalitarian nature of the forum.

It's not the off-topic posts I'm objecting to it's the recent volume of junk posts by star chasers. Without a bit of restraint they'll sink the forum and I don't want that to happen.

V.

I see this thread has reached the top ten. Can I have a big star now, please.

He, he.... yea.. you got some action...
Nothing wrong in that!! It happends in the best families
The reason why I describe me as a guest is that I have no chance to partisipate in your meetings in uk or down under... no chance to watch the tv-programs or tv adds you are talkin about and some of the humor is uk related.. (maybe refeering to people who is known in uk and I dont know) and at last my poor english makes it sometimes dificult to say exactly what i want to say... yea.. one more thing... I feel lonely... noone has spotted mee or answered to my spooted messages... Where the #$@** is the Norwegian owners????
Have to say that Lyndon is doing a great job with making the wideos visable to all whereever we are in the world..
And I also have to say that I dont want any to stop posting what ever they want to post. I like the forum and thats why Im still here. If I didnt love it I would have been gone ages ago...
Let there bee room for everybody!!!!
