Bye bye Rover 75

Post by Johnnyb60 »

Hi again,
Well after over 10 years of ownership of my Rover 75 it finally went on to another home today.
It was quite sad watching it being driven off down the road by its new owner.
I know it's only a piece of metal/rubber and glass but I've got some lovely memories of times gone by and the places it took us to.
I should of got shut of it years ago when I became a single person, but I just couldn't bare to part with it.
The wife, the dog and caravan have all but gone ,but I continued to soldier on with the 75 which was frankly an over kill for just me.
The person who bought it though ,from what I can gather was down on their luck.
She's been diagnosed with cancer and her old car was uneconomical to repair and also short on money..
For these reasons I knocked a bit of money off for her.
I'm hoping it will stay just as reliable for her as it was for me.
To cheer my self up though,I went for a nice drive in the sun this afternoon with the hood down to convince myself I've made the right decision.
I came back home feeling much better about things.
So now that I've recouped some of my money back on the sale of my car ,I will get the little Pug booked into the garage for a cam belt change.
All the very best
