i have tha chance to buy the 206 CC I want in the right colour but without the airco/climate control. The car can be mine within 5 days. I have 2 options now, either order the car I want and get it delivered in october when the nice weather is over or have it now . The choice will be easy, but I need to be sure that should I really miss the climat control I will be able to build it in afterwards. They are asking 1360 euros here, so it will save me some money as well  Anyone have the answer ?

No it can't be added after! It's a tough choice you face David, but personally, I'd have to have it (but only cos it's standard on the SE in the UK).

Thanx Pauline, but are you 100% sure ? Of course Peugeot won't build it in afterwards but there sure must be other companies that specialize in climate control that can do the trick ? Why is it impossible in the 206 ?

Follow up, I called Peugeot here and it can be done, only problem is they ask 2,600 euros for it where the climate control is 1,300 euro when ordering a new car. Does this mean that a normal ' airco-company ' could do the job for the price of let's say 1,300 euros ?

i dont think aircon is anything special - it is good but lets not get excited over it.

when i bought a 306 Vivant in feb 98 i could have got it for £350 less with a sliding sunroof rather than aircon but took the aircon as it was supposed to be better.

never really thought that much of it and missed the sunroof as all of my cars previously had one.

when i changed for a normal 206 in may 00 i took the sunroof instead of the aircon and was happy i did.

so what i'm trying to say is just get it without the aircon and as greg says at least you get it for the summer with the roof down.
