Based on the laws of the U.S. Constitution, there are 5 requirements a person must meet in order to become President of the United States. The candidate:

1. Must be at least 35 years old
2. Must be a citizen of the U.S.
3. Must have resided in the U.S. for at least 14 years
4. Must have been born in the U.S.

and what else??
Come on guys and girls its easy! (when you know the answer!) ;)

Well having served less than 2 terms is definitely a constitutional requirement (22nd amendment IIRC).

Do you mean there's a sixth?

I guess the other obvious one would be - must win the majority of the votes to be elected?

Actually, that's incorrect. Dubya didn't win the majority of the votes...

So We've now come up with 7 requirements to become President - all are valid.

You really can't blame people for not giving you the answer you want if you ask ambiguous questions.

This is a most unusual paragraph. How quickly can you find out what is unusual about it? It looks fairly ordinary and you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and, in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why? Study it, think about it, and you may work it out. Try to do it without asking anybody. If you work at it for a bit it will dawn on you. So jump to it and try your skill at figuring it out. Good luck! But don't blow your cool.... ;)

Very Good. Can we forget about the other question now...it was only a bit of fun. You'll notice its not a quiz question, more a lateral thinking puzzle. A knowledge of the intricacies of the American constitution isn't necessary...;)

But you must know that the President is elected. Therefore, it's not a true lateral thinking puzzle - it requires prior knowledge.
