Just to make people happier that not only CC's have problems -
I was talking to our dealer at the gym on the weekend, and he has an SLK230.
Well, his roof has jammed mid-position, it's been in the Benz dealers for 3 days to adjust windows, and the tint is getting scratched off by the bristles/seals for the windows in the doors.

Cheered me up no end, especially as today it's back to winter ...

Mine used to creak at the roof join and there was an occasional loud rattle from somewhere behind the driver's seat.

Ahh well there's always the new SLK coming out in 2004  which no doubt will bring a whole set of new problems.

BTW I recomend those new merc C Class Sports Coupe's, a whole lot of fun and very, very good on sporty looks, wide flared wheel arches, raking bonnet, nice merc badge on grill and luxury inside, very much like the CLK but sportier. Very impressed with girlfriends car, especially as I get to drive it

Arjay, I think you saw the sports coupe it when you came round for the windstopper if I'm not mistaken (hope your getting on with the windstopper OK and thanks for letting me off the £1).

Robbie.

lmh,

My mate told me he saw a CC at Canberra during winter with the roof down.

Can you confirm this?

Was out in the cc today. 26 Degrees, sunny, windstop up with air con on = Heaven

There are several CC's in Canberra now, although we were the first customer-delivered CC in Oz.
If it was black with red leather, probably me.

And despite what the rest of Australia might think, winter in Canberra can be quite pleasant. But then it can also be bloody awful!!
