i was thinking of getting the ecosse vents until i saw mvoong's (michael) CC yesterday where the original vents are painted. i didn't think it would look that good but it's actually quite nice - anyone else got any views as i need to make my mind up - quick ?

sorry can't help you! You know what I think!

Seriously, as I said, whatever one you get done make sure the preparation and finish is top class or you won't be happy with it.

Go to the Drayton meet pictures, Scroll down to the bottom section of pictures. Mine is 2nd in from the left and 2nd down and has colour coded standard bonnet vents. Had it done as I was too tight to buy Ecosse ones (£48 for c/coding by dealership) and have to admit I do prefer the originals to Ecosse.

claire,

how long will ecosse take to supply the vents, e.g. get them in stock ? - doesn't matter about postage time as i could pick them up

also ......

any more opinions ?

i really need to decide by tomorrow as i want to book my car in for colour coding but need to decide on the vents.

Derek,

Why don't you get the originals sprayed up anyway (can't believe they'll cost too much more for the colour coding)? And if you don't like them, I'm sure there's people here who would buy them off you.

Derek

Spoke to Diane on Tuesday and she said she's hoping to get them to me within two weeks so I'd say a couple of days of that is probably postage. They didn't have any in stock then but were expexting them soon. Shame....I used to work in your neck of the woods so I could have picked them up and saved a tenner on the transport.

Pug dealer quoted £30ish to spray them up but I'm hoping who ever sprays up the side of my car will do it for less

I have ecosse vents feel free to view CC owner 188.

Be warned I had to wait a good month and a half delivery, and a year later the paint is blistering. Though ecosse have told me to watch the situation!.
