Hi all,
This is my first post and I'm glad to find this site with lots of useful tips on what could go wrong. Some problems I have seen here I didn't know I had. Thought I would let you know my worst problem, my Speedo starts at 130MPH and goes clockwise from there. Not too good when you lived in a speed camera infested county (Kent) okay if you have a Speedo. Took it in last week because of this got it temporarily fixed only lasted till today so in it goes again. Apparently it's because I use the mileage trip "allot". The fix is a new dash with 2 screws that stops the dials moving when using the trip. Had a few other probs leaky roof, carpet coming out on drivers side, radio loosing presets, dials dropping to zero and stop light coming on rescue man said he had seen this before on 206CC's, passenger side window stuck in up position so roof wont go back up amongst others hence Rootes of Maidstone staff know me by name. I will let you know the outcome of any things I get fixed the parts should be here next week for a few of the fixes as they come from France.

sounds like your BSI unit has gone, would also be a good idea if you get the instrument binnacle replaced, presumably the car is under warranty??!?(peugeot do not modify the speedo's with self tappers!)
leaky roof and carpet coming away would indicate bad seals -get 'em changed......! G/L
