Peugeot use the reduced cost benefits of 2 year/20000 mile servicing to sell its petrol engine cars.
Well, today we have received a letter from Warwick Wright Brent Cross telling us our 11 month old car is due for its ‘BI-annual health & safety check and oil change. From just £79.99, we will check it from top to toe’.
Here is a Peugeot dealer using the words ‘health & safety’ to try to get owners to part with cash unnecessarily for twice yearly servicing!
Yes, changing the oil more frequently is beneficial to the car, but this stinks of Peugeot’s double standards, Warwick Wright being owned by them!
Referring to our car they ‘trust it has given ... considerable motoring pleasure...’
Well, yes, it has given some. But the pleasure would or should have been much greater, but Peugeot have seen to that!
Desperately seeking a divorce from Peugeot!

(PS This should give fellow Bedfordian, IJRussell, an idea of how much a Peugeot dealer will charge for an oil change in response to ’Servicing’ topic recently)
2yr/20000 mile servicing? Not according to Warwick Wright!

Confusingly, it can mean both.
bi·an·nu·al
adj.
1. Happening twice each year; semiannual.
2. Occurring every two years; biennial.

If bi-annual means every two years:
1. Why are they writing to us after one year?
2. Should they not be writing to tell us a full service is due? £79.99 sounds cheap for this!
AlexLS is right, 'Biennial' is 'lasting or recurring every two years'.
Personally, think WWBX mean every six months. Their grasp of the English language is no better than a Peugeot dealers ability to fix their cars. They don't know the correct meaning of the words 'customer service' either!
