Is it safe to wash the car in a car wash ( leaks, scrathches ) or is it better to wash the car by hand ? I am a lazy guy so I would prefer the car wash, any experiences ?

being lazy i don't like the idea of washing a car - but as some others have said, car washes will scratch it so i always do it myself.
also means it is done right too and nothing missed.
a car wash with the brushes will scratch your car and the pressure washer ones don't normally clean the alloys right so it really is best to do it yourself.
it's also an idea to use a new sponge every time as the sponges can collect grit which again can scratch the paint work. at the end of the day, a sponge only costs just over 50p and using it at the end to do the alloys justifies putting it in the bin
