Illegal in the UK for two very good reasons:

1. Hidden cameras are not allowed
2. They're not tamper-proof. Any 'evidence' from these cameras would be thrown straight out of court.

I also doubt they'd stick a £40,000 camera in a wheely bin in the UK. It wouldn't last 5 minutes.

But the wheely bin one does have a blue light on it! Anyway, for anyone who's been gatso'd, the Boys In Blue have to issue your Notice Of Intended Prosectution within 14 days of the offence so, generally speaking, if you haven't received it within 17days, you're in the clear. I was flashed in April and didn't get anything - not that I'm suggesting the "testing" of Gatsos!!!!!

I got flahed some years ago in the early hours driving through Stockport.

Just after the camera was a Police station.

I pulled in and asked if I could use a toilet as I had a really bad stomach upset as I thought I had eaten some dodgy food. I also Informed them that I had been rushing to fin d a poublic toilet that wasnt locked and had just been flashed.

They escorted me to their toilets.

I was aware a co[pper was still stood at the door. I went in and made lots of 'noises'. used lots of paper and kept flushing the toilet and cursing.

After I came out, I thanked them and they followed me out to my car and took my registration - I never did get a ticket.

The reason I did all this was because of something I learnt whilst doing Law at college. It seems a guy with a kidney infection had been let of speding as he needed the toilet badly.

As the judge had set a precedent, I knew they couldnt charge me

If I was dishonest, I would be dangerous
