Charlie Brooks, the fantastically moon-faced actress who plays Janine in Eastenders drives a CC, and Kym Marsh (ex Hear'Say warbler) used to drive one. She had it taken off of her when she left the band because according to Peugeot, it was only given to her as a PR thing.

So who else is there?

Does anyone know of any other 'celebs' who are one of us?

Hmmm....based on the fact that you can become a celebrity nowadays by appearing on Pop Idol and doing a bad version of "YMCA" I'd say that's a big 'yes'.

But to guarantee your status, you really should have at least two of the following:

a) your own fanclub
b) a tribute act based on your early work
c) a stalker
d) a part share in a restaurant in Notting Hill
e) a child called Moon Unit, Colon, Freesia or Nitnurse

well I used to qualify on 2 counts

I used to have my own fan club at the local GIRLS school where I delivered the papers (Shame I was to naive to realise why naked girls were stood at the dormitory windows).

I also ended up with a stalker from the school.

It was a convent school and the 'penguins' werent much help.

But that was years ago in my dim and distant past :(

Local girl's school fan club and in your young innocence you didn't realise what was happening.

These are the memories that will come back to haunt you when you are sitting in a bath chair in an old folk's home in Eastbourne.

Bruce Titchmarsh???

Who's he?

And talking of adverts, I wish Peugeot would pay for some more of those CC ads with the peacocks. Interest at work in my forthcoming car really spiked after that.

And it's becoming increasingly difficult to work conversations round to my car without looking self-obsessed:

Colleague: Yeah, did you see Ally McBeal last night?
Me: Alloys McBeal? Did you say Alloys McBeal? That reminds me...etc etc

Oh I can get a whole lot worse than that:

Ruthless People can easily be misheard as 'Roofless People' for instance.
