There's more! I called Sainsburys (their insurance is by esure) and they added personal possession cover, injury cover, courtesy car etc and it went up to £432. But is that a special offer? I should've asked :x Will it shoot up next year?

Direct Line have always given me a constantly good price but, if I leave, I probably won't be able to go back - they once told me they don't like the sporty types but will insure the CC as I'm an existing customer. Anyone else heard this?

Also, I called them to see if they could price match - and they said only if I had increased the voluntary excess, which is already higher than esure/sainsburys.

Hmmmmmmm :?

when you get renewal quotes - if possible also check it online as if you were a new customer.

my direct line house insurance (b&c) runs out on sunday and my renewal quote is £160 - or £124 when i checked. guess who will be getting a phone call in the morning !

Yeah. Especially as renewals should be cheaper because there's less admin involved.
